They ran out of gas before the 3rd period, not in the 3rd period. After Ennis failed to score on that breakaway, they failed to sustain any more pressure.

That's the problem. None of those teams looked "terrific" except maybe the first Carolina game. It was a case of two bad teams playing, and Buffalo happens to be playing worse.

I've remained optimistic, or at least had a refusal to press the panic button, up until now. While a shortened season makes the early games much more important, it doesn't make them immune to the peaks and valleys that we often see out of a handful of teams. A lot of teams come out looking better than they really are, and worse than they really are, and I think the Sabres fall in that latter category. However, there comes a point where a change has to be made. "Stay the course" has been an overused cliche in the Sabres' front office for far too long.

I am normally a Ruff fan... but maybe it is time to make a change. we either have the wrong players or the wrong coach.....Tired of the repeat performances from this group ...every year it is the same thing.

Hit "clear roster" at the bottom right of the screen and try it. It just let me but wouldn't yesterday.

The Sabres will win only 1 game on this 4 game trip and will be solidly in last place...........

i don't understand all the love for Ruff.. He was handed Hasek when he first came here and a good team after the lockout.. outside of those 4 years the team has been terrible.
